JOHOR BARU — An elderly Singaporean man was found dead yesterday (July 1) in a hotel room in Johor Baru, Bernama reported.
Lee Chiang Yong, 62, was found unconscious in his hotel room by a hotel employee on duty at 1.37pm, said South Johor Baru district police chief Suilaman Salleh.
He said that the man was pronounced dead during an examination carried out in the ambulance. Police also found no injury or any trace of criminal element on the victim, who had checked into the hotel the same day.
“The body was sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post-mortem and the Singapore Consulate here has been informed to trace his next-of-kin,” Bernama quoted Mr Sulaiman as saying. AGENCIES
