SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Wednesday (June 18) announced the launch of nine confirmed list and 6 reserve list sites with a total area of 18.87ha under the second half of the Industrial Government Land Sales Programme (IGLS).
Six of the nine confirmed list sites are in Tuas, with two located in Tampines and one on Penjuru Road. The Penjuru Road site, which is targeted for multiple-user development, will have a shorter tenure of 20 years. “The shorter tenure will meet the needs of industrialists for multiple-user development at affordable prices,” the ministry said in a statement.
Five of the six reserve list sites are in Tuas, with the remaining located in Tampines.
Confirmed list sites go on sale regardless of interest from developers, while reserve list sites are triggered for a public tender only if a developer makes an acceptable opening offer.
Developers who are interested in the sites on the reserved list can apply to the respective sales agents for the sites to be put up for tender, MTI said.
The ministry also said it will revise two technical conditions on all B1 and B2 IGLS parcels from July 1 in response to market feedback. The minimum electrical provision for the parcels will be reduced from 160VA/m2 to 120 VA/m2. Successful tenderers can also now replace the required goods lift with a service lift, provided that the proposed development is a full ramp-up development and complies with the required number of lifts, loading capacity and lift car size.
