May I know if there is a discussion on underhand agents? Should we compile a list so that we do not engage the same agent and suffer? Property is not a small investment and we hope to engage a morally clean agent.

I don't understand the complain at all ...

I am assuming its the landlord that made the complain to CEA ...

Agent mislead tenant on the need to rectify before handover ?

agent is right ... tenants are to rectify the any problem before handover ...

if they don't ..landlord just forfeit the deposit ...

so whats the problem ? I don't get it ....

if tenant doesn't service aircon ... is it agent's responsibility ?
in the TA tenants are to engage a contractor to service aircon .. and landlord would have gotten that contract as well ...

if it is not serviced ... how can agent be responsible ?

at handover ... tenant / landlord / agent are present ... why is it the problem of the agent if it is not returned at a Tenanable condition ?

why didn't landlord raise the issue with tenant there and then ?
why complain later ? and put responsibility on agent ?

I really don't get it ...

or have I read the complain completely wrong ?

Because the story is too long to post in the forum. Got any complain just write to CEA and they will ask the agent to drink coffee.

This will be interesting to discuss too. Especially those overseas ones.
