SINGAPORE - Three to four rats were spotted running around the food counters at the basement level of V ivoCity.
According to a Stomp contrinutor who submitted a few photos to the citizen journalism website, the rats were spotted moving around near VivoCity's Dong Dae Mun food outlet. The food outlet sells Korean food.
One picture shows a rat perched on a metal cart, with its front paws resting on the food counter.
"Rats were spotted at VivoCity's Dong Dae Mun on Jan 19 at about 10.30pm," the contributor said.
"There were about three to four of them.
"They were seen moving around the stores near Dong Dae Mun."
Earlier this month, another Stomp contributor sent in pictures of the staff of a ramen store at Nex shopping mall trying to fight off a rat with brooms.
The contributor said it happend at about 1pm on Friday (Jan 17). She said the rat, which was on the top shelf, jumped to the ground when they tried to hit it with a broom.
Y added: "I was with my friends having a meal at ramen store at Nex at 12pm on Friday (Jan 17) when a black rat appeared.
"The staff were trying to kill the rat with their brooms but it jumped off like a flying squirrel. "The staff then closed off a section of the store and tried to kill the rat."
