i dont think its jinx-ed. more like bad safety and fire management by the construction co. Accidents will happen if you do not have proper audits and training for your employees.

That is worse than jinxed. If they can't follow safe work procedures, I don't know if they will construct the building according to drawings and use good materials. I hope they don't try to cut corners like finding cheap alternatives to materials and construction methods.
