Concrete chunks come tumbling down from Orchard Towers

SINGAPORE - Blocks of concrete were seen strewn all over an area near Orchard Towers this morning.
According to a passer-by who sent in pictures to citizen journalism website Stomp, the concrete comes from a portion of the side of the second floor that had given way and smashed into the ground.
Stomp contributor Grande said he was was shocked to find blocks of concrete on the ground near Orchard Towers.
Grande said: "Is Orchard Towers falling apart? I walked past Orchard Towers this morning and was greeted by the sight of blocks of concrete.
"Part of the second floor 'balcony' on one side had given way and smashed into the ground.
"A few minutes earlier and we might have cushioned the concrete's fall.
"Scary."
