Site of last of HDB Blocks in Joo Chiat

Hi,

With the impending announcements of the 2013 Master Plan and hopefully the

exact locations of the ERL stations, will the URA reveal what is in store for the

HDB site opposite the Siglap Centre? Those HDB blocks will be demolished in

2015, and the present residents will be relocated to Chai Chee Estate.

From what I have gathered from this and some other forums, the ERL may run

along Marine Parade Road. If this is the case, what will be built on this site

then?

Any inputs??

No idea for now. but i do not think that an ERL station will be located there. Never once was their SI done on that site. instead, most activity has been near and around the vicinity of victoria school, which is on marine parade road. So its anybody's guess what this plot of land might be used for. Btw what does the masterplan 2013 indicate - i forgot to check out this site.

You are right, I have never seen any SIs done on this stretch of road to

begin with. Maybe they will just let the land sit idle and then wait for land

prices to firm higher before launching another land sale.

Was the land sale at Siglap exit along ECP (next to Victoria School) awarded?

If I am not mistaken, it was up for tender in June 2013, but I couldnt find any

updates on this.
