View Full Version : Preference - Baby boy or baby girl? Y?
Come choose a gender and Share with us whether u prefer having bb boys or bb girls and why?
if I hv 1 nia, daughter.
if 2, I wanna 2 daughters
if 3, I wanna 2 daughters n 1 son
if 0, fantasize in darling's thread :p
I prefer gals, esp those who noe hao to sajiao.
I dun really like boys if they r very mischevious, but notti gals I can accept :p
One of each.
More if I can can afford it.
Similar to property.
Girl is like a freehold property.
Most of the time after she marries her heart will still reserve a place for her parents.
Boy is a 99y leasehold property.
After he gets married he is likely to give his heart totally to his wife.
So at one glance it seems like I like girls.
But the most important thing is that the child is well n healthy.
Boy or girl is not important.
Similarly for property, freehold or leasehold is not that important.
It is the location, the ability to rent it out n hence the rental yield that is important for investment property.
The other important factor is whether the property has enbloc potential.
When considering investment property do not be emotional.
Do not buy just because you like the place.
Think in terms of how much returns you can get from it.
Similarly for children decide on the number you think you can comfortably afford.
One can have a preference for boy or girl
But it's best not to have any expectation
Cos there's nothing one can do about it
Except to accept the decision of fate
This is unlike houses
One can choose... hdb, condo, or landed
Either freehold or leasehold
As long as it is within one's budget
I prefer boys as in-laws and husband would prefer boys to carry on the family name so there would be less stress on me if I have boys.
Only thing is they have to serve the army so if there is a war, girls are safer (ie won't die) compared to boys who might die in a war...so sometimes , think of migrating to countries where NS is voluntary and not compulsary.
best of both worlds...:D:D:D

One girl, one boy would be ideal, 形成好子. Actually in this modern world, boy or girl is immaterial but traditionally if you have mother-in-law, it would be better if you have a boy first, then follow by the girl. But some people prefer to have girl first because they said girl can help to take care of her younger brother.
Some even said that :-
1) if you have boy (more playful, more difficult to handle) first, then girl, you will find that it is so much easier to handle your girl later on because normally girl is not so playful. BUT
2) If you have girl first, then boy, then you will wonder why this time, it is so difficult to handle leh.
In short, if you handle something difficult first, you will find that the follow-up will be easier and vice versa.

Yes but nobody will know until they grow up. Having children and bringing them up is like an investment. We will not know whether good or bad till the day comes.
To have children is also fated, this is what I think. Some people want but don't have while others don't want and yet keep giving birth one after another.
So if a couple intends to have baby and lucky enough to conceive, whether boy or girl, just accept it. Actually, there is a chart to help you to plan whether you want a baby girl or baby boy base on your age, but no idea how accurate it is.

One gynae once taught us that male sperm swim fast but die fast while female sperm ie carrying the X chromosome swim slow but lasts longer so if you want a boy, do it when fertile and after and if you want a girl do it on those days just before fertile period. Works for me cause I wanted boys....;)
