SINGAPORE — A fire broke out at an incineration plant at Tuas Avenue 10 earlier today, involving flammable chemicals.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that it was alerted to the fire at No 7, Tuas Avenue 10 at 5.17 pm this evening. Upon arrival, the SCDF found an area approximately two football fields in size alight.

The blaze produced a column of thick black smoke that bystanders as far away as Lim Chu Kang could see.
The fire was put under control in 90 minutes, said SCDF. Two Chinese males suffered first-degree burns and were sent to Singapore General Hospital by SCDF. A third Chinese male had suffered burn injuries and had been sent to National University Hospital prior to SCDF’s arrival.
About 60 SCDF personnel were involved. As of 8 pm, firefighting operations were still ongoing to mitigate pockets of fire, SCDF said.

Yes, and despite the heaviest smog in the West area due to the large fire ragging and heavy smoke, the NEA PSI and PM2.5 in the West as of now is still the lowest among all regions in Singapore!
So, it is obvious that NEA PSI and PM2.5 do not reflect the real ground facts!
