My friend is coming to sg soon. She wants to rent a studio or 1-bedder around her office which is near ROM.
Any good suggestion? I guru a bit, really no some good one nearby. Her budget is around 3.5-4k.
She doesn't like the soho @ central.... The mount Sophia area look good, but very very long walking distance to the main road right. It's near to MRT from map, but no direct access is it?
Ideally have one direct bus from condo to office ...

the mount Sophia there, there is a stairway abt a few mins walk from parc Sophia which is nearer to mrt.
total walk fm mrt will be less den 10 mins but u nid to climb the steep stairs.

the staircase may not be obvious if u dun look properly. it is near cathay. u nid to consider if a female will find it safe to use the stairs in the night. if ppl plan to ambush u, there is no way to escape :2cents:

how abt Oxley Rise near somerset mrt? I quite like the place leh. when u stand at yr doorstep the feel is like hotel, very serene too.

The stairs is a bit long imo but it is the easiest way to get from sophia to plaza sing n dhoby ghaut.

Surrounding is quiet and very expat-ish. The view from sky decks are breast taking. Lol.

From espada it is quite a long walk to the mrt.
If yr friend doesn't mind the walk than it's fine cos espada is a nice project.
The metz n illuminaire are the nearest to the mrt n very convenient also.

river valley side is nice. u can ask her look at watermark, roberston 100... older ones like regelia or big unit but old behind regalia. if not have to look mt sophia area which is further on plaza sing side.

I would recommend The Pier@Robertson. Near nice pubs and restaurants.

She doesn't need MRT. Direct bus or short distance taxi preferred. But surrounding n life style must be there. That's why I short listed Robertson Quay area instead the other two.

Take a look at Valley Park.Big project with good landscape,very resort feel.A lot of units facing river.Convenient location too.
