In view of the excessive amount of monies, the controls are good and necessary. It should balance out some of the selling pressure when the next bear market in the property cycle happens.

Many families will be broken up, some go bankrupt and some may take years to repay their debt.

Property bubble once burst will take a long time to recover :eek:

In fact, Property bubble burst and subsequently recovery has allowed a new group of people (many in Singapore) to become rich and have more social mobility than to have no bubble and the poor middle income can never get richer and have to slough all their live for income while their money in bank earning peanuts! (Yes, real peanuts! Not the golden peanuts worth $600k(?) each!)
