Shopkeeper and customer get police warning after fight over SIM card

The Police has issued a warning to a 60-year-old shopkeeper and his customer who fought over a disputed amount of a prepaid SIM card.
The incident occurred on Aug 5 after a misunderstanding during a transaction in which the customer registered for a SIM card without knowing the right amount to be paid.
The daughter of the shopkeeper wrote into STOMP about the fight, which had resulted in her father requiring four stitches.
Police said in a statement to STOMP:
"As part of the course of police investigations, statements from both parties were recorded and the facts of case were established.
"Following the completion of investigations and upon consultation with AGC, it was directed that a warning be issued to both parties.”
