Starting a new thread on wage inflation, be very very careful of reducing FT intake ...

Take IT where we have lots of Indian, mainland China, Pinoy FTs

in 2009 recession year:

NUS Computer Engineering – $2,900 ($3,440)
NUS Computer Science – $2,900 ($3,290)
NTU Computer Science – $2,900 ($3,250)
NTU Computer Engineering – $2,900 ($3,200)

in 2012:

NUS Bachelor of Computing (Computer Science) – $3,683 ($4,000)
NUS Bachelor of Computing (Computer Engineering) – $3,630 ($3,942)
NUS Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) – $3,403 ($3,450)

NTU Computer Science – $3,371 ($3,700)

from 2.9k to 3.5k is already like 14% increase

those in the 75th percentile (i.e. the betters SCs) already closing in on 4k per month in 2012

if two 75th percentile graduates marry each other ... starting pay will be around 8kpm .. no wonder income ceiling of BTO must go up to 10kpm

What will this means when there are many graduate and not enough company ard to hire anymore since most relocated.

Soon there will be Landlord coop collective where all the jobless grads band together to invest in minute properties with their piggy banks savings to be a joint landlord n make ends meet collecting rent! Just watch!

Can! they can sell their proxy to purchase 1st property! 1% ownership and the actual landlord 99%. then pay them a small mgmt fee for the 7% or 10% saving off ABSD.

something like Singapore MM Property ETF ... hire you as fund manager with 0.3% mgmt fee per year ... trustee is ?

actually these 1st timers fresh grads can take loan to buy MMs jointly... if not because of the 20% upfront payment

Long Live MMs!!!
