AU properties valuation are dropping. Customers have to top up. Heard 10% for some cases.

When there are weak demand for housing, the price drops of course. Aussie home loan interest rate that is hovering around 6% is too high. Given that mining boom is looming right now, many mining towns having their property valuation drops. However cbd areas that is less reliance on mining still doing fine. I expect aud to lose value against USD and SGD along with lower interest rates this year.

I dont think OZ properties drop. In fact still holding well and rental yield still strong.
One common reason for those who have to top up are probably taking other currencies loan to finance their OZ properties when exchange rates were in their favour. Now that the A$ drop i.e. the valuation of their properties drop against the borrowed currencies, the bank will call for topping up.

AG is silver
OZ or Ozzy is a better abbreviation for Australia
