Anyone seen similar designs in Singapore or the region? Am thinking of buying a few of such tables but can't find any shops that sell it in Asia. Shipping from Italy is really expensive (costs almost the same as the product!)... :(

thanks boss.. saw it but the design not nice plus it's not long enough for dining..

my intention is to use it as a dining table that can be folded in to avoid my kids running into the corners..

plus the ikea version looks quite cheapo.. :o

maybe will go down take a look later. the cost is super compelling i must say. :cheers2:

i did but the contractor said dunno how to do a nice one leh. i went online to find some examples how to do it and sent across to him and he still said dunno how to do and dunno where to buy the structures and hinges?!

that's why considering buying it from italy.. but didn't expect the shipping costs to be so exorbitant. :beats-me-man:

ya, the hinges need special types, mayb imported difficult for normal contractor to source

but give u an idea bro, not sure will work
buy the ikea one (say 2 table sets with 4 hinges)
then ask ur contractor to replace the table top but use ikea hinges :D

Ikea's mechanism is too cheapo. Any IDs can do it that way.

I also asked my ID to design flip up table in my bedroom. He replied me that the current mechanism he has may not hold and reliable. He quite hesitant to do it for me as his company must warranty all the carpentry for 2 years. But i told him that i don't need a 60cm deep table, i just need a 30cm deep to put my laptop. He said he will help me to source better mechanism that he has confident. Waiting good news from him.:)
