Next, I hope LuLu will come to this forum, and I would recommend her to invest the 500K in her curry powder business, or hand-made noodle business.. or donate to the zoo for the xiongmao's maintenance fees =)
As for barbarella .. i think out of the 500K, mabbe u can use 300-400K to invest in a 2BR at OCR ... and save 100-200k cash .. somehow i still believe cash is king even though the interest rate is low now.. you will nv know when you need them eg. medical fees

Since this is property forum, I will say buy resale freehold CCR one bedder near MRT. should be able to generate around 4% yield easily.

Firstly, need to know what are the investment u have on hand, your risk capacity, your eligibility in buying HDB, etc etc.
Are you looking for a steady souce of yield?
How long is this spare for ? short term / long term?
