I have one too... a Rainbow that is..

Not only is it expensive, I find it extremely heavy it is also rather bulky and cumbersome... not very handy to use around the house and takes hell lot of space in the store room. a pain when vacuuming the stairs and a bigger pain when carrying them up the stairs.

tubes are not telescopic and doesn't stow well... requires dismantling after use. not suitable for small homes.

I had to buy a Karcher to augment the Rainbow for smaller jobs.

Dose karcher has the beater , what make rainbow diff is the beater which is very effective on carpet , mattress. The beater can 'scrub' the carpet and loosen the dust..but rainbow is too too toooooo ex....!!

Karcher has a wide range... not sure about the beater, they might have it but I am not sure.. I just bought one of the smaller ones to cover the adhoc vacuuming jobs. Rainbow requires quite a lot of set-up... and post vacuuming logistics.

Thank you. Never use that before but I think I still prefer water type than the dust bag and it is cleaner, IMHO. Water captured the dust and stayed there whereas for dust bag, it will circulate back and maybe a small portion of the dust will flow back to the floor again. I think not much of this type of vacuum cleaner (using water) in the current market.
