According to reports, an excavator fell on its side at a construction site across from DBS Building this afternoon.

Witnesses in and around Robinson Road heard a loud bang just before 5pm followed by momentary tremors.

The site is believed to be the former UIC Building which is being developed into V On Shenton, an upcoming residential development comprising of a 53-storey tower with 510 units.

Property firm United Industrial Corporation (UIC) which is developing the site was not immediately available for comment.

SCDF rescue workers are currently on site.

there was supposed to be release of some more levels today before launch this weekend. dun know details of release today cos told agent not investing, so won't waste his time.

If got casualty , will have e stop work order for at least 2 weeks, on top of it , the work can only commence after the investigation , and reinstate to safe working condition. That may take at least 2 -3 months..

Given the developer always have float in their master schedule , it unlikely to delay the overall milestone ...

Some Buyers are however superstitious if the site got such record....
