Hi, recently i have read about the new project which involved the design and price of the luxury condo in Ardmore Park.
SOURCE (http://sph.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_790030.html)
According to the article from Straits Times the 36 floored building would only house 35 houses, which means 1 apartment per floor with a pent house.
With a staggering price tag of $5000 psf, do you think that this is an investment worth looking into?
The recent chatter have been of sky rocketing housing prices, would the arrival of more of these high end housing push up singapore property price further?
maybe i am not a subscribe to ST..
the link give me a 'access denied' error. :(

I think it should be 2 apartments per floor for 4 bedders and maybe 3 or 4 floors for the penthouse and super penthouse units.

Wow yea i believe so too, 11000 square feet for a condo is definitely no joke,
propbably would end up costing like $55000000 or more, Wow dont know who would be able to afford that.

1 unit per floor

1 unit per floor
The developer said it will comprise 4-bedroom apartments ranging from between 2,800 to 4,000 square feet, and someof the larger apartmentswill occupy an entire floor per unit.
actually what's so special about 1 unit per floor?
A few malaysian condos has it.
also Cliveden already has it.

Sure can find 35 PRCs to pay $20 million per unit (minimal). Singapore is favourite place for PRCs officials like Bo xilai's wife to park their dubious monies. This type of money - must spend quickly to "cleanse" them. Sometimes I really wonder where these PRC govt officials got their money from - I'm sure our authorities has some "doubt" about how "clean" is the money and yet we welcome them with open arms.
would any singaporean citizen buy this?
at this kind of quantum, can afford the smaller size GCBs right?

I probably would just buy some super luxurious 30k square feet Bungalow in The CCR and live happily for the rest of my life. With money left to spare.

A top global city needs a developer like SC. He should actually up the ante further, but being a technocrat tends to focus too much on hardware like private sky pool, car elevators & such. Perhaps he should do a joint project with the Candy brothers.
I do not like glass facade.
