Redeem the loan

Hi,

Currently I am looking into redeeming my loan. I checked the UOB website and it stated that I need to engage a lawyer to discharge the mortgage.

1) Must I definitely engage a lawyer? Can I redeem the loan without the lawyer?
2) If must engage lawyer, what are the charges and how much?

Ask from your bank the list of lawyers. It will be cheaper.

i used bank's appted lawyers & paid about $600 for their service. :cheers4:
