High application numbers for Sim Lian's EC
Tampines Trilliant boasts proximity to MRT station, malls

AROUND 1,000 applications were submitted for Sim Lian Group's 670-unit executive condominium (EC) project, The Tampines Trilliant, during the first application period from Jan 27 to Jan 31.
The project drew a healthy crowd over the weekend, with around 60 per cent of applicants residing in the eastern part of the island and one-third in Tampines, where the project is located.
Property watchers were not surprised by the encouraging application numbers given the EC's proximity to the Tampines MRT station and established shopping malls such as Tampines 1, Tampines Mall and Century Square. The site is also a short walk from the future Downtown Line 3 Interchange.
The booking date for the development has been set for Feb 4, and it will be done via a balloting system. Following this, buyers will have a choice of either opting for normal payment or a deferred payment scheme.
Sim Lian launched the project in late January and the completed 99-year leasehold development will comprise 12 blocks, housing a mix of three-bedders (127 units of 872-1,141 sq ft), three-bedroom plus utility units (397 units of 1,001-1,378 sq ft), four-bedders (1,302-1,593 sq ft) and penthouses (1,841-2,465 sq ft).
The Tampines Trilliant is expected to receive its temporary occupation permit (TOP) in March 2015.
Yesterday, Sim Lian closed half a cent, or one per cent, higher at 53 cents.
