Just to give an example on how volatile / crazy Beijing property market is, in Beijing 4th ring (about 8km from city centre, close to 清华大学), when I was there a few months ago, locals told me highest price around SGD1000psf ... I actually walked past one project still under construction, high rise with 1800 units

Prices in Jan 2009 was 400psf, in June 2011 is 800-1000psf ... still got 800 units unsold.

down 2% today ... my technical very simple, highest point is 6000, after crash, it is up to 3,150 ... 61.8% of that is 1,950 ... that will be my first entry point, another potential entry point will be half of 3,150 which is around 1,575

u have not much choice, this is the only one listed in SG that tracks SSE50, there is another at HK

however, no hurry to buy, even if 1,950 is confirmed bottom, there will be a side way consolidation for a few months

the recovery of the property market at China 1st tier cities have more momentum though :cheers5:
