First DBSS flats in west to go on sale from next Tuesday

(SINGAPORE) The first HDB flats under the Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) in the west of the island will go on sale next Tuesday at prices ranging from $360,500 for the smallest units to $680,400 for the biggest.
The Lake Vista @ Yuan Ching development near Jurong Lake has 682 units, comprising 145 three-room flats, 279 four-room flats and 258 five-room flats.
The price for the three-room flats - each spanning 721 square feet - ranges from $360,500 to $399,500, while the four-room units, which range in size from 925 to 980 sq ft, will cost $481,000 to $575,300 each.
Five-room units, with an area of 1,130 to 1,163 sq ft each, are on sale at $584,300 to $680,400.
That's well below the maximum asking price of $778,000 for a five-room unit - reduced from the initial indicative price of $880,000 - at the Centrale 8 DBSS project in Tampines which caused a public outcry earlier this year.
Electronic applications for the flats at Lake Vista @ Yuan Ching will be open from Oct 18 to 24, after which balloting will begin.
The housing project - developed by a joint venture between Hoi Hup Realty, Sunway Development and S C Wong Holdings - comprises four blocks of 21 and 22-storey apartment towers, a multi-storey car park as well as a childcare centre.
It sits on 2.12 hectares of land equipped with amenities such as an adventure playground, barbecue corner, soft lawn court, reflexology path, open green court and a fitness corner, the developer said.
The project is also near Jurong Lake and its surrounding attractions such as the Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden, as well as the Lakeside MRT station, it added.
Some of the units have balconies in both the living room and the master bedroom, offering views of Jurong Lake or the development's landscaped garden, the developer said.
The biggest five-room unit also features a walk-in wardrobe within the master bedroom.
Showflats will be open from Oct 18.
