Sengkang DBSS tender is off
THE Housing and Development Board (HDB) has withdrawn the tender for a Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) site in Sengkang which was launched last month. The tender was due to close on July 20. The Ministry of National Development is currently reviewing the DBSS, as part of its overall review of housing policies. 'No new DBSS site will be released for sale until the DBSS review has been completed,' HDB said in a release yesterday evening.
Under the DBSS, developers tender for land and have flexibility in designing, pricing and selling the flats to eligible buyers. The 2.3 hectare site, at the corner of Fernvale Link and Sengkang West Avenue, was expected to potentially yield about 790 public housing flats. On Monday, MND had said that HDB would not proceed with the sale of a DBSS site in Bendemeer which was scheduled to be put up for sale.
