Sorry for asking, Are you able to buy a HDB (pay full in cash) if you own a condo now?

can buy regardless got loan anot but u nid to dispose ALL your pte ppty within 6mths:p

Yup.. whether its BTO new flats or resale... That's the deadliness of the last CM.

I think u cannot buy new HDB flat, if u own pte pty in the last 30 months

Oh yes.. for EC or BTO still have to satisfy income ceiling that has never changed for the last donkey years :banghead:

shd b thankful tat income ceiling is kept unchanged

i feel tat AHG shd be improved....below 5k den eligible...:doh:

as for DBSS....they oredi up the ceiling from 8k to 10k rite? which i tink its a gd balance now....BUT EC aso same 10k....:doh: EC shd be 12k......:2cents: ;)

IMO based on the calculation made by my frend it seems quite affordable. His profile is the typical uni graduate currently the same age as me; already for working 2yrs and can easily afford a 750k EC (before gov subsidy) and his income is not even half of 10k salary (not combined with his gf). Of cse this takes into consideration that he is soon-to-be married and has yet any form of serious family commitment (kids, car, existing loans etc..)

EC is currently capped at $10k, not $12k. :D

Just in case u are unaware, you can first own a HDB flat and then go buy a condo, just not the other way around! Not sure will this rule be changed should the next CM omes along!:spliff:

You can seek case to case approval by submitting a form to hdb and reports the details of your private .

It is up to hdb decision.
