It has a steel frame. I don't think it can last longer than concrete.

Not surprising. Just count the number of cranes onsite for only one single short building. Over here usually only one or two. And we dont work overnight.

i am no engineer

but looking at the NY subway .. i can see they are old but can weather extreme heat and cold ... and millions of commuters each yr .. can conclude they can last a long time

if i am not wrong the NY subway ..can be as old as 100 yrs ..

it should be called assmebly in 6 days instead of built in 6 days.
if consider thoses panels, truss, girders fabrication and coating process it take months. Evey things are pre fabricated and on sit assembly.

This is not to critise the achievement, the real remarkable works are the engineering design phase . every thing from design assembly, coordinaton of clashes are considered and resolved so that only assembly works are carried out on site. it is lieterally plug and play, this is truly the power of design engineering.

Properly they had used high tensile steel, durable and high resistance to stress. Compared with concrete, the degree of deflection is much higher

for a concrete building, the internal parts are still a steel, be it rebar or i beam. The strength of the building is derived mainly out of this. Concrete can be considered as coating, in certain sense, but it dose also provide certain strenght to the building

The concrete is for compression load while rebars are for tensile load. The potential problem with the Chinese metal structure is galvanic corrosion if the steel and nuts they used are of different metals. Most of the partitions are fixed onto the metal frames, so the building structure doesn't provide very good noise and vibration absorption.

Quite remarkable, just show that China construction can execute at world class speed. Wonder if proper checks are being carried out to ensure hotel is built safelyl

one thing for sure..what china is lagging behind is still the quality...
