Property agent charged with murder


A PROPERTY agent was charged in court yesterday with the murder of a Japanese man last month.

Jack Ang Hoe Meng, 41, is alleged to have caused the death of Mr Takanori Inada, 30, in a back alley off Bukit Pasoh Road between 4.50am and 6.55am on Oct 23.

Ang, who was represented by Mr Zaminder Singh Gill, was remanded at Central police division for a week.

The Japanese man, believed to be a student here, was found with multiple injuries in Bukit Pasoh Road.

He was taken to hospital, where he died five hours later.

A police investigation found bruises on his body.

If convicted, Ang faces the mandatory death penalty.

Yesterday, real estate agency PropNex released a press statement confirming that Ang was one of its agents.

PropNex corporate communications manager Adam Tan said Ang, who had worked in other real estate agencies before, had worked for PropNex from 2005 to 2008, left and joined it again in July this year.

He added that PropNex has terminated Ang's employment as of yesterday.

Solid agents pass CEHA, only half past six agents who cannot pass CEHA then try their luck to pass the CES. :D :D :D
